Isabel Forlastro
Graduate student (first year)
Isabel was born and raised in southern Arizona. She attended the University of Arizona where she pursued a double-major in Veterinary Science and Microbiology.
As an undergraduate, she studied the mechanism of a bacterial secretion system under Dr. Patricia Stock. After graduating, she moved to Ithaca to pursue a PhD in the BBS program. In the Rudd lab, she is studying the age structure of the CD8+ T cell compartment and how environmental factors impact T cell fate and localization in tissues.
In her free time, Isabel enjoys working out, cooking, gardening, and spending time with her pets.
