BRIAN D. RUDD
Brian Rudd completed his Ph.D. training with Nick Lukacs at the University Michigan, where he first became interested in the host response to infection. He went on to become a postdoctoral student at Oregon Health & Science University under the mentorship of Janko Nikolich-Zugich. There, Brian investigated age-related changes in the immune system at the extreme ends of the lifespan. In 2011, he joined the faculty of the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Cornell University. He has been at Cornell for six years now and enjoys the camaraderie and academic rigor demonstrated by Cornell researchers. In recognition of his lab’s research accomplishments, Brian recently received the Robert Hovey Udall Assistant Professorship.
Brian is happy that he gets to work and play in beautiful Ithaca and the surrounding Finger Lakes. On the weekends, he can be seen chasing his son around the local parks and trails.
