Casey Smith

Casey graduated in 2013 from Alfred State College with her associate in veterinary sciences. Later that year she passed her licensure as a veterinary technician. Casey has worked in research since graduating with a small amount of private practice work. She worked for the Center for Animal Resources and Education at Cornell from 2015 to 2021, and then left for a little while to work for a private contract research organization until October of 2022. Casey is “so ecstatic to be back at Cornell working for the Rudd lab!” Her favorite hobbies are gardening with her husband, baking breads, hiking with her dogs, and watching her chickens and pig graze.
