Janelle Veazey, Ph.D.
Janelle Veazey grew up in Upstate NY, and after completing a B.S. in Molecular Biology at Messiah College in Pennsylvania she returned to Upstate NY to pursue her Ph.D, at the University of Rochester. At Rochester she investigated airway barrier integrity and innate immune signaling in the laboratory of Dr. Steve Georas. In the Rudd laboratory Janelle is studying the effects of maternal nutrition on offspring CD8+ T cell development.
When not in lab, you can find Janelle rock climbing or exploring the many parks and hiking trails around Ithaca.
